Freshmen

Your College Advisors
In early August you will be assigned an academic advisor who will help you select courses and guide you through the Arts & Sciences Discovery Curriculum requirements. During Orientation you will meet with your academic advisor twice to discuss your course selection, and this advisor will continue to be available to you throughout the school year.

You will also be assigned an upperclass peer advisor who has been trained as an academic advising assistant. Your peer advisor can share with you his or her own experiences, knowledge of courses and professors, and general information about Washington University. Your peer advisor will contact you this summer to answer any questions you might have. He or she will also meet with you during Orientation and throughout your first year.

Pre-law students are encouraged to contact the Pre-Law Advisor for advising information.

Life Sciences students are encouraged to contact the Life Sciences Advisor for advising information.
