Junior Jumpstart is a one-day conference that helps prepare all Juniors for their senior year and beyond. Students leave Junior Jumpstart with important skills that will help aid them in successfully identifying and pursuing their passion!
Junior Jumpstart offers over 50 sessions covering important information all students need to know. In addition to focusing on specific paths, Junior Jumpstart also offers sessions that focus on general skills that will benefit everyone.

HOW TO BREAK INTO COMPETITIVE FIELDS
Junior Jumpstart offers sessions that help students prepare for their career, law school, medical school, and graduate school after graduation.
Students will be able to network and gain insider advice from hiring managers. Panelists will talk about creating resumes that get results, and what to do to “WOW” in an interview. Students will also leave Junior Jumpstart with the best advice for finding the right job for them.
HOW TO WRITE A PERSONAL STATEMENT
No matter the application, many view the personal statement as the most important piece of an application.
Junior Jumpstart provides students with the key items they need to create their best personal statement. Panelists consist of Admissions representatives and industry experts. They will provide information that can’t be found in books that is based on life experiences.
HOW TO APPLY FOR COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS & FELLOWSHIPS
If you are considering post-graduate scholarships & fellowships, then you do not want to miss these sessions.
Students will leave these sessions knowing submission deadlines, best practices for applying, and how to organize your summer in preparation for applications and submissions.
HOW TO NETWORK
It’s not always what you know, it might be WHO you know. This is a chance to network with leading professionals and area influencers for free.
Each year Junior Jumpstart welcomes Alumni, Admissions Representatives, and leading Industry Professionals to come and talk to our students. Students are given the opportunity to network with these folks throughout the day, ask questions, and market themselves to possible future colleagues.
