Information in the life sciences has expanded exponentially the last few decades. With the advent of gene cloning and a growing understanding of how genomes work, scientists are now able to investigate a whole range of previously inaccessible problems. Current research in the life sciences is revolutionizing the practice of medicine, basic approaches in agriculture, and even the ways in which we think about ourselves.
