Dean Dale is a four-year adviser for the College of Arts and Sciences. She directs the ArtSci Summer Weekends Program. Dean Dale also advises Lambda Sigma, a national Sophomore Honor Society dedicated to service and leadership. Each fall she teaches Introduction to Archaeology (Anthropology 190B) for the Department of Anthropology.
Dean Davis works closely with Dean Herman, managing transfer student admissions and advising. Dean Davis also advises ArtSci Council and the Student Mock Trial Team and leads the team planning the Arts and Sciences Recognition Ceremony in conjunction with Commencement.
As an assistant dean in the College Office, Dean DeVoll advises undergraduates, including January Program students in Arts & Sciences and students in the Argentina Focus Program. He also serves as sophomore dean, and during the summer he teaches English for the Freshman Summer Academic Program.
Dean Downey splits her time between the Medical School, where she is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Dean Downey works closely with Deans Stahl, Herman and Romney as a part of the Life Sciences team. Dean Downey provides Pre-Medical/Pre-Health advising from the Cornerstone Office on the first floor of Gregg Residence Hall.
Dean Fleck serves in both the College of Arts & Sciences office and the Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities program (IPH). For the College, she acts as a four-year advisor for Arts & Sciences undergraduates and as Academic Coordinator for Special Major and Minor inquiries or proposals. She also advises those undergraduates considering non-professional graduate programs. She can consult in all parts of the decision and application process. Dean Fleck is involved in IPH, a rigorous, interdisciplinary program for intellectually ambitious and self-guided students. She regularly teaches courses such as “Scripturalism and Cultural Traditions,” and "Visual Culture" which constitute part of the core for the IPH major.
Dean Harrison is an assistant dean in the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to acting as a four year adviser for Arts and Sciences undergraduates, he is the Director of the Honorary Scholars program. Dean Harrison also teaches courses on International Relations for Political Science and International and Area Studies.
