**Preparing for & Applying to Graduate School in Psychology**

Thinking about applying to graduate school in psychology? Want to learn more about the application process? This special forum will have psychology professors describe how to make the best of your undergraduate years in preparation for graduate school, as well as discuss the procedures for applying to graduate school. A current graduate student also will describe her experience with the graduate school process. This forum is not to be missed by anyone who may be thinking about graduate programs in psychology. Freshmen to Seniors are encouraged to attend. Hosted by Psi Chi

Learn about the timetable and process for applying to graduate school, including a general discussion of choosing schools, funding, recommendation letters, and application essays. Sponsored by the Career Center and the College of Arts and Sciences. The same session is offered at 2 different times.

Come to learn about what is typically expected in a grad school application essay.  Bring paper or a laptop to brainstorm with guidance from Writing Center, College office, and Career Center representatives.

**Graduate School Options for Anthropology Majors: A Panel Discussion**

Learn about possible graduate study and career options through the stories of three panelists who had undergraduate Anthro majors. The panelists are Anne Sebert Kuhlmann, MPH and PhD in health and behavioral sciences; Amanda Landon, PhD graduate student, Anthropology, WU; and Lindsey Horten, MSW graduate student, Brown School of Social Work, WU. Sponsored by the Anthropology Dept. and the College of Arts and Sciences.

**Graduate School Information session: Degrees from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at Dartmouth College**

Come to learn from an admissions representative of the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice about their graduate programs: Master's in Public Health and Science (both one-year) and PhDs as well.

**Southern Illinois University Edwardsville: GRADUATE SCHOOL FAIR**

Free and open to the public, this SIUE (about 35-min. drive) event has representatives from graduate and professional schools coming from a variety of academic disciplines and geographic areas to share information, with more registering every day. **Time Off to Teach: A Panel Discussion**

Thinking about teaching?  Considering a year or two off before graduate school in education or another full time career path?  Teach For America isn't your only option.  This panel will feature education professionals who don't have teaching degrees or certificates.  You'll learn about the teaching options out there and how to land one.

**Brainstorming Pathways to Graduate School: A Workshop**

Unsure in which field you'd like to be? Unsure if a Master's or PhD is ahead of you? Come to this session in which WU faculty, student, and staff speakers share their diverse stories about getting to graduate school. They'll help you brainstorm about your own possible pathways through discussion of passions, making connections, experiences, and goals. They'll also provide information about resources to aid you in this process. Bring a laptop or pen!  Offered by the College of Arts & Sciences and the Career Center.

**Is Your Child Considering a Master's or PhD?: An Information Session for Parents**

If your child is considering a Master's or doctorate degree in the future, learn more about the current elements of applying to and taking part in a Master's or PhD program. Dean Cathleen Fleck (College of Arts & Sciences) will discuss timing, financial, educational, and personal questions that often concern parents about this process. She'll also convey the many resources available at Wash U to help your child prepare to expand his horizons or reach her full potential.
