Lucy supports the College Registrar with maintaining the accuracy of all academic records of undergraduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences. She provides support to the Academic Integrity Committee, the Committee on Academic Progress and assists departments and programs with registration and course listings.
Shea provides support for a number of programs which focus on a student's academic experience in the College of Arts and Sciences. She primarily assists with Named Scholarships, Transfer Students, The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program, Peer Advisors, Junior Year & Junior Jumpstart.
Marilyn oversees the day-to-day activities and services of the College. She works with staff in supporting the College Office deans on their events and programs. Questions regarding human resources and accounting/budgetary matters should be directed to Marilyn.
Bernard is the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the College Office. He assists students, parents and visitors in connecting to campus resources and answering questions about the College of Arts & Sciences events. If he doesn’t readily have the answer to your question, he will find it! Bernard also provides administrative support to the deans and staff coordinators on various events and projects.
Patti's main duties are managing Dean Smith's calendar and travel arrangements. She also works with other deans in organizing special events and works with the front desk in meeting the needs of students.
Liz helps all PreHealth students applying for various Health Profession Schools by scheduling appointments with PreHealth Advisors, coordinating communications, maintaining student files, and posting recommendation letters. Liz works closely with the PreHealth advisors to provide students with the guidance they need to move on to their desired Health Profession School. Liz also works on the Praxis Program with Dean Joy Kiefer.
As registrar, Marissa’s primary responsibility is the maintenance and integrity of the records of students in the College. In addition, together with the student records assistant, she coordinates with A&S departments and programs on production of various curriculum-related publications, including Course Listings and TheBulletin. To that end, she serves as an ex officio member of the A&S Curriculum Committee and therefore is a resource to students, staff, and faculty alike who have policy and other questions pertaining to the curriculum, programs, and courses. Marissa coordinates graduation certification for the College, assists with the special major/minor program, and often liaises with the University Registrar’s Office and Information Services and Technology on ways to improve the student experience in the College of A&S.
The Office of Undergraduate Research, 308 Cupples II
Jennifer is the office manager for the Office of Undergraduate Research where she oversees day-to-day activities and supports the Director, Dean Kiefer. She manages the online course evaluation system, administers undergraduate research award programs, coordinates the MARC uSTAR program, supports the external scholarships & fellowships program, and supports the pregrad advising program.
Sarah works with all aspects of academic life for freshmen. She helps organize the Four-Year Advising program and the First-Year Academic Programs such as FOCUS and Freshman Seminars. Sarah also handles other administrative matters related to freshmen such as prematriculation credit, advisor record maintenance, and registration authorization. Sarah is also the coordinator for the Freshman Summer Academic Program (FSAP). In addition to her work with freshman year programming, Sarah also serves as the Sophomore Coordinator where she assists with sophomore year events such as the Sophomore Resource Fair and the Major-Minor Fair.
Jane provides technical support for the College, which includes Student Information Systems reporting for degree certification, Advanced Placement credit, and freshmen summer program registrations. She also manages email communications to Arts & Sciences students.
Erin provides support for a number of programs which focus on a student’s academic experience in the College of Arts and Sciences. She assists with the Honorary Scholars program, Arts & Sciences Recognition Ceremony, Summer programming, Senior Programs and the Pre-Law Program.
